View port groups

Storage hosts are systems that use storage system LUN resources. A logical unit number (LUN) is an identifier that is used for labeling and designating subsystems of physical or virtual storage.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Hosts > Port Groups to open the Port Groups list view.

    The Port Groups list view allows you to view and manage port groups on a storage system.

    There are multiple ways to open this view. Depending on the way you used, some of the following properties and controls may not appear.

    The following properties display (Click a column heading to sort the list by that value):

    • Name—User-defined port group name
    • Ports—Number of ports in the group
    • Masking Views—Number of masking views where the port group is associated.
    • Protocol—Associated protocol ( SCSI FC, NVMe/FC (for storage system running PowerMaxOS 10.1.0.0 or later), iSCSI, or NVMe/TCP - this property is not applicable for storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977 or PowerMaxOS 5978.
    • Last Update—Timestamp of the most recent changes to the port group

    To view more details of a port group, select it and click An icon showing the letter i (see View port group details).
